Hydrogen peroxide is an easy and all natural way to clean your home

Hydrogen peroxide is a cheap and all natural cleaning tool, with wide ranging applications from kitchen cleaning to bathroom cleaning.  Read on for 7 hydrogen peroxide uses in your home.

1 – Countertop and Cutting Board Cleaning:  Spray hydrogen peroxide on your surfaces, and allow it to bubble and react with the surface.  Scrub away any stains or caked on food, then rinse and wipe it dry.

2 – Clean your Cleaning Sponges:  Let your sponges soak in a 50/50 mixture of hydrogen peroxide and warm water for 15 or 20 minutes.  Rinse thoroughly with water afterwards.

3 – Cleaning Dirty Pots and Pans:  For pots and pans with baked on food crud, mix a hydrogen peroxide and baking soda paste together.  Apply the paste to the dirty cookware and let it sit and react. Scrub the pans with warm water, and rinse to finish up the job.

4 – Cleaning your Toilet Bowl:  Pour about 4 ounces of hydrogen peroxide into your toilet bowl, and let it sit for about 20 minutes.  Follow up with a good scrub for a fresh and clean toilet.

5 – Clothing Stain Removal:  Use hydrogen peroxide as a prewash stain remover.  Soak your stained clothing in the hydrogen peroxide before washing in your washing machine.  Hydrogen peroxide can also be used as a safe bleach alternative to whiten clothing, by adding 1 cup to a load of laundry.

6 – Brighten your Flooring:  Hydrogen Peroxide is safe and mild for most floor types.  Mix a cup of hydrogen peroxide with a gallon of warm to hot water, and start mopping.

7 – Grout Whitener:  Hydrogen peroxide can help to clean grout in your bathroom or kitchen. Spray some hydrogen peroxide on your grout (make sure it is dry) and let it sit and react.  Scrub the grout with a grout brush or toothbrush – repeat as needed until it is white again.
